Resin Dilophosaurus skull measuring 6.5 x 2.5 x 4.5 inches.
Dilophosaurus (meaning two-ridged lizard) was named after the pair of bony crests that adorned its head. It lived in the Jurassic Period, around 193 million years ago, and measured 20 feet long. They were carnivorous dinosaurs and Paleontologists believe they even ate other dinosaurs. The Dilophosaurus featured in the 1993 film Jurassic Park spit venom and sported a large frill about its neck. In real life that was not true. It was shown that way in the movie so you wouldn't confuse a Dilophosaurus with a Velociraptor.
