Thyme: Besides its wonderful aroma and taste, Thyme is an excellent source of iron, manganese, and vitamin K. This plant sprouts in 1 to 2 weeks and can live up to 16 months. It tolerates very dry indoor air."

Coriander: Fresh coriander leaves have a lemony-ginger aroma and are essential in Mexican and Tex-Mex cooking as well as many Asian and Mediterranean national cuisines. This plant sprouts in as little as 5 days, grows to full size in 1 to 2 months, and can live up to 8 months. It forms its own seeds and needs a very sunny spot.
